Spencer Educational Foundation’s General Grants support student-centered initiatives that provide experiential learning opportunities for Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) students and/or attract new talent to RMI careers. The program works with educators and organizations in the United States and Canada to connect practical learning with college and university programs, internships, and full-time industry opportunities.
Supported activities include student participation in conferences and symposia, travel for engagement with industry professionals, high school outreach, career development programs, and initiatives advancing inclusion in RMI education. Spencer emphasizes direct “Spencer-to-Student” impact and creative recognition of the foundation’s support. Curriculum development and further academic program development are addressed through its separate Course Development Grants program.
