Description
This program offers individual scholarships for postdoctoral researchers and senior scholars (with postdoctoral lecture qualification) in the historical humanities—fields such as archaeology, history, art history, historical Islamic studies, history of law, prehistory and early history, and history of science. The aim is to enable scholars to dedicate themselves full-time to innovative research projects that are clearly distinct from their doctoral work. The scholarship is open internationally and does not require institutional affiliation. In addition to the core stipend, recipients may apply for supplementary allowances for family, travel, and material costs. The foundation emphasizes originality and the advancement of historical scholarship.
