Description
The Aaron Copland Fund for Music’s General Support Program provides unrestricted grants to organizations with a substantial history of supporting contemporary American concert music, jazz, or both, and plans to continue that commitment. It supports performing ensembles, presenters, music service organizations, and nonprofit record companies whose artistic excellence and impact deepen public knowledge and appreciation of music by American composers.
Eligible work spans live performances, recordings and live streams, dance or theater with live music, sound installations, professional development, artist-in-residence and artist support programs, radio and podcasts, journalism and criticism, and library or archive programs. The program considers artistic quality, creative programming, feasibility, sustained commitment across seasons, geographic location, audience engagement, and impact.
