Description
The Biochemical Society’s General Travel Grants support members attending face-to-face scientific conferences, training events and workshops with a molecular bioscience focus. Funding helps cover travel and accommodation for national and international events, enabling participants to present research, expand professional networks and benefit from relevant workshops.
The scheme prioritises the career benefit of attending a particular event alongside financial need. Applicants should explain how participation will support their development, whether through presenting a poster or talk, attending useful sessions, meeting speakers, forming collaborations or developing knowledge in a new area. Online attendance and laboratory visits are supported through separate Society schemes.
