Description
Adirondack Community Foundation’s Generous Acts grants bring together contributions from local donors to meet pressing needs and build long-term solutions across the Adirondack region. The program funds projects and programs as well as operating and capacity-building needs, including training, technology, staffing, and equipment.
Its three priorities are Basic Needs, Educational Pathways, and Economic Vitality. Supported work includes food access, child care, career preparation, workforce development, attainable housing, and civic engagement. The foundation seeks work that is mindful of underserved populations, addresses disparities, identifies clear outcomes, and demonstrates collaboration and community buy-in. It gives special consideration to local nonprofits pursuing partnerships, shared services, mergers, or other collaborations.
