The Genetics Society’s Public Engagement Grant supports members who engage the public with genetics through activities delivered in person or virtually. Awards cover eligible travel and materials costs, helping members deliver genetics-related outreach rather than collect research data or produce for-profit media. The Society also offers publicity materials, including pop-up banners and leaflets, for use by arrangement.
The programme reflects the Society’s commitment to equality and diversity. It welcomes applications from all sections of the community regardless of sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, caring responsibilities, age, religion or belief. Supported activities must follow the Society’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles, acknowledge its support, and provide participation numbers and a brief report after the activity.
