Description
The Jeffrey Modell Foundation’s Global Education and Information Exchange (G.E.N.I.E.) program funds innovative initiatives focused on ongoing physician education about Primary Immunodeficiency (PI). It aims to improve diagnosis, treatment, and patient outcomes through global collaboration and meaningful dialogue, with particular attention to PI awareness and access to treatment and care in healthcare systems with limited resources.
Supported activities include continuing physician education programs, grand rounds, scientific publishing, local meetings and seminars, and other physician education events in areas with limited resources. The program also promotes knowledge exchange through post-grant reports shared with the Foundation and its worldwide Jeffrey Modell Centers Network. These reports communicate findings, meeting outcomes, patient success stories, treatment methodologies, and other developments to educate peers and sustain the exchange of ideas.
