The Geoffrey Frew Fellowship enables distinguished overseas scientists to participate in Australian Spectroscopy Conferences and visit scientific centres across Australia. Established in 1970, the Fellowship is awarded biennially by invitation based on recommendations from relevant National Committees to the Council of the Australian Academy of Science. Since 2015, the Academy's funding has been matched by the Australian and New Zealand Optical Society.
