Description
The Georg Forster Research Award, granted annually by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, honors internationally renowned academics from developing and transition countries for their outstanding research achievements. Awardees are recognized for fundamental discoveries, new theories, or insights that have had a significant and lasting impact on their discipline, particularly where their work contributes to improving living conditions in their countries of origin. Recipients are invited to conduct a research project of their choice at a German research institution, fostering long-term international collaboration, individualized support, and access to Humboldt Foundation’s alumni network and sponsorship opportunities.
