Description
The George E. Hatcher, Jr. and Ann Williams Hatcher Foundation supports charitable organizations in Middle Georgia that relieve suffering caused by disease, ill health, physical weakness, physical disability, or physical injury. Its purpose also includes promoting and prolonging life and supporting the principle of dying with dignity.
The Foundation funds organizations providing services or shelter to individuals who cannot otherwise obtain them because of circumstances beyond their control, with particular attention to children. Children and youth, health, and human services are its stated funding priorities. Grants are funded through the Hatcher Foundation Fund at the Community Foundation of Central Georgia (CFCG), with recommendations made by the Hatcher Foundation Committee and final approval by CFCG’s Executive Committee.
