Description
The Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Program (GOSP), administered by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GADNR), awards Conserve Georgia grants and low-interest loans for conservation and outdoor recreation across Georgia. Authorized by the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Act, the program supports state parks, trails, state lands, and wildlife management areas, alongside local parks and trails of state and regional significance.
Funding supports conservation-land stewardship and acquisition of critical areas for clean water, wildlife, hunting, fishing, military installation buffering, and natural resource-based outdoor recreation. Projects compete within three funding pools: Local Parks and Trails of State and Regional Significance, State Stewardship, and State Land Acquisition. Priorities include regional benefits, ecological value, recreation opportunities, and alignment with Georgia’s wildlife and outdoor recreation plans.
