    Description

    This award enables U.S. scholars to conduct research and share expertise in geoscience or earth science in Ireland, with the aim of fostering long-term academic and professional collaborations. Scholars may affiliate with the Geological Survey Ireland (GSI) or any appropriate Irish university, and are expected to undertake research relevant to Irish geoscience. While there is no requirement to teach full modules, awardees are encouraged to engage with the Irish geoscience community through activities such as short courses, field trips, or workshops. The program is designed to strengthen U.S.-Ireland academic ties and promote international understanding.
