The IADR Distinguished Scientist Awards are among the highest honors in dental, oral, and craniofacial research, celebrating significant and original scientific contributions that have advanced knowledge and impacted global oral health. These annual awards span diverse fields, including biological mineralization, behavioral science, craniofacial biology, geriatric oral research, global oral health, epidemiology, anatomic sciences, oral medicine and pathology, pharmacology, pulp biology, oral biology, periodontal disease, prosthodontics and implants, salivary research, dental caries, dental materials, and young investigator research. Awardees are selected by expert committees composed of prior recipients and leaders in the field.
