    Description

The IADR Geriatric Oral Research Awards, administered by the Geriatric Oral Research Group (GORG) of the International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR), honor excellence in research focused on geriatric oral health. These awards encourage both students and investigators to advance scientific understanding of oral health issues in aging populations. Awards are presented in several categories: the Jonathan Ship Award (pre-graduation dental or dental hygiene students), the Pre-doctoral Award (for those with an oral health or related degree, including junior faculty), and the Post-doctoral Award (for individuals pursuing or holding a research doctorate). Recipients are chosen by a judging panel based on the significance, originality, scientific rigor, and conclusions of their research, as demonstrated in an abstract and poster presented at the IADR General Session.
