Description
The American Geriatrics Society’s Geriatrics Recognition Award (GRA) provides professional recognition to physicians and advanced practice registered nurses who maintain special knowledge in the care of older adults through lifelong learning. AGS established the award to encourage health professionals to stay informed about advances in clinical care and continue developing knowledge relevant to older adults.
This is recognition of sustained continuing education, rather than support for a research study or project. Applicants who meet all requirements receive an award certificate recognizing their participation in lifelong learning centered on older-adult care. Recognition lasts two years and can be renewed through further qualifying education.
