--- ## Description The fellowship provides early-career physician-scientists with the opportunity to participate in health- and medicine-related study processes at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The aim is to foster leaders who can bridge biomedical research, public health, and clinical medicine, and expand national capacity for research, leadership, and policy development. Fellows remain in their primary academic roles while dedicating 10–20% effort over two years to participate in the work of a National Academies board, engage with diverse experts, contribute to study committees, and receive mentorship from a senior member of the National Academy of Medicine (NAM).
