Description
Launched in 2018, the biennial Gilead Asia Pacific Rainbow Grant supports community projects that improve the lives of people affected by HIV. Run by Gilead Sciences, the initiative funds HIV care, education, and awareness, with community partnerships at the center of efforts to address unmet needs and expand equitable access to quality healthcare.
Guided by the themes Empower, Engage, and Partner, the program seeks to overcome barriers related to stigma and health equity and advance the UNAIDS Fast Track 95-95-95 and Zero Discrimination targets. The 2023 application framework, “Reducing Stigma & Improving Equity,” identifies three focus areas: HIV-related social determinants of health, mental wellness within HIV care, and support for underserved populations.
