Description
The Glenn T. Seaborg Award for Nuclear Chemistry is an American Chemical Society (ACS) National Award recognizing and encouraging research in nuclear and radiochemistry or their applications. It honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to these fields, including faculty, industry researchers, chemistry professionals, and international nominees. Its focus encompasses both scientific research and applications.
The ACS Division of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology sponsors the award and has done so since 2004. Selection considers the work’s alignment with the award’s purpose, benefit to society, scientific impact, innovation, service to the scientific community, and mentoring of the next generation of leaders in the field. The current nomination window is for the 2028 ACS National Awards.
