Description
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy administers this Annual Program Statement (APS) to advance the America First Global Health Strategy. It supports projects that complement, extend, or fill gaps in bilateral health Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), including targeted technical, operational, and catalytic support for implementation and transition to country-led systems.
Funding priorities are announced through country-specific and service-specific addenda developed with U.S. embassies and other Department offices. Areas include outbreak response, child development and protection, surveillance, neglected tropical disease elimination, nutrition, and country health-system implementation. The program aims to save lives, strengthen health systems, improve efficiency, and reduce reliance on foreign assistance while advancing American safety, strength, and prosperity. Detailed knowledge of individual MOUs is not required for a competitive Statement of Interest (SOI).
