Summary: Scholarships help paediatric oncology professionals with insufficient resources attend the SIOP Annual Congress in person.
Key Information: Applicants must live in a World Bank low-, lower-middle-, or upper-middle-income country and submit a Congress abstract.
The International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) offers Global Health Scholarships for each annual meeting to people who have insufficient resources to participate and travel to the event. The programme supports participation in the SIOP Annual Congress, rather than a separate research study or project, by helping recipients meet attendance costs.
The scholarships combine financial assistance for travel and accommodation with free annual meeting registration. They are intended for professionals active in paediatric oncology who live in eligible World Bank income-category countries and are accredited in a hospital with a paediatric oncology division. Applicants must submit an abstract to the Congress they plan to attend in person. Travel and accommodation assistance does not apply to virtual congresses.
