Description
Global Micro-Residencies, offered by the Franco Institute at the University of Notre Dame, support Arts & Letters faculty undertaking one- to two-week stays at institutions outside the United States. The program pairs funding for an international residency with optional supplementary support for a graduate student research assistant or a visit to Notre Dame by a scholar from the host institution.
This structure allows faculty to combine a short overseas stay with research assistance or a reciprocal scholarly visit. Funding decisions take previous Institute support into account: projects that have not received Franco Institute grants receive priority consideration, and the Institute may decline additional requests for projects that have already received significant support.
