--- ## Description The Global Oncology Young Investigator Award (GO YIA) supports early-career investigators aiming to address global health needs in oncology, particularly in low- and resource-limited settings. This mentored award encourages innovative research, including clinical and translational studies, care delivery, prevention, palliative care, implementation science, and health systems research relevant to cancer control and care. The program is designed to foster the next generation of global oncology researchers and is open to applicants from both high- and low-resource settings, including collaborative projects. --- ## Due Dates - September 2026 (anticipated, full application deadline) _All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates._ --- ## Funding Amount - $50,000 for a one-year project. - The number of awards made each cycle is not predetermined; Conquer Cancer aims to fund the most meritorious applications. --- ## Eligibility **Principal Investigator Requirements:** - Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, MD/PhD, DO, or equivalent). - In the last year of fellowship/training, or within the first two years of faculty/staff appointment (academic) or employment (non-academic) at the time of submission. Exceptions may be granted for unique training structures. - Within 10 years of terminal degree at time of submission (exceptions possible for foreign medical graduates or special circumstances). - Demonstrated interest in oncology or related science; working in an oncology setting (oncology-specific training not required). - Must be an ASCO member or have submitted a membership application with the grant application (free membership for physicians from LMICs). - Must have a contractual obligation with the sponsoring organization. - Able to commit at least 60% full-time effort in research (total, not just the proposed project) during the award period, confirmed by institutional letter of support. **Eligible Organizations:** - Higher education institutions, research organizations, government organizations (including hospitals/medical centers), non-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations, and non-US (foreign) entities. - Sponsoring organizations must have been operating for at least one year and provide adequate infrastructure and support. --- ## Application Process - **Two-step process:** 1. Submit a Letter of Intent (LOI). 2.
