Description
The Global Seed Fund is a funding line of the University of Zurich (UZH) Global Funding Scheme, coordinated by UZH Global Affairs. It supports early-stage collaboration and proposal development to initiate and strengthen the acquisition of competitive third-party funding. Examples include meetings with international partners to design a larger funding bid, pre-proposal feasibility studies, and preliminary data collection.
The fund advances the “Internationally Connected” area of the UZH Global Strategy 2030 through collaboration with defined Network and Priority Partners. It sits within a broader scheme supporting faculties, departments, and professional service units in joint international initiatives. The scheme aims to mobilize scalable, high-impact ideas from across UZH, extend the university’s international network, and strengthen its visibility, impact, and international engagement.
