    Description

The Seismological Society of America’s Global Travel Grant supports student and early-career members participating in scientific conferences and workshops anywhere in the world. The program helps members attend meetings and present research directly connected to the study or application of earthquake science or seismology. It also accepts requests for registration costs associated with eligible virtual conferences.

The competitive program emphasizes international scientific exchange and opportunities to share information across political borders. Since 2018, more than 50 SSA members have received support to attend international conferences and present their work. The grant supports participation beyond SSA’s own events; SSA Annual Meetings and Topical Meetings have separate grant programs.
