    Description

Mitacs Globalink Research Internship pairs Canadian university faculty with international undergraduate students for 12-week research placements. The competitive program supports all academic disciplines, including science, engineering, mathematics, humanities, and social sciences. Interns conduct hands-on research under faculty supervision, working alongside graduate students and research associates at Canadian academic institutions.

The program helps faculty bring new ideas and international perspectives into their research, broaden departmental research horizons, and build connections with potential future master’s and doctoral candidates. Students gain research experience alongside access to professional development courses, conferences, industry events, and social activities. This is a purely academic initiative: an industry partner is not required.
