Description
Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive program for international undergraduates, delivered with international partners at more than 70 Canadian academic institutions. Interns undertake faculty-supervised research alongside graduate students and research associates. Projects span science, engineering, mathematics, humanities, social sciences, and interdisciplinary research, subject to partner-specific discipline restrictions.
The program combines hands-on academic research with professional skills development and social activities. Participants gain access to Canada’s research facilities and applied research landscape, build knowledge in their field, and develop international experience and independence. Interns may also attend industry and government events, conferences, and workshops. Internships normally last 12 consecutive weeks, with shorter arrangements available for eligible German and US participants.
