Description
This award supports promising junior clinical or research faculty in cardiology or cardiothoracic surgery as they prepare to submit NIH or AHA career development awards. The intent is to foster the development of early-career investigators in cardiovascular sciences by providing research funding for basic, translational, or clinical projects. Applicants must have prior research experience, demonstrated by first-authored publications, and be applying for or close to applying for a career development award. No more than 20% of the recipient's time may be devoted to clinical service during the funding period.
