Description
The American College of Radiology (ACR) Foundation’s Goldberg-Reeder Resident Travel Grant supports radiology and radiation oncology residents and fellows seeking to assist with healthcare in developing countries. Sponsored by vRad’s First Read Initiative, the program awards grants annually to encourage international volunteer service among members-in-training and make overseas healthcare assistance part of the training experience.
Visits focus on improving healthcare and addressing the goals and needs of the host institution. The program also emphasizes documenting the contribution of each visit and identifying needs that remain. Recipients share photographs, participate in interviews, and submit an impact report describing goals achieved and ongoing needs at the host institution.
