Description
The Golden Kite Awards, established in 1973 and administered by the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), are among the most prestigious peer-judged honors in children’s literature. The awards celebrate excellence in eight categories, including fiction, nonfiction, illustration, and translation for children and young adults. Winners and honor recipients receive monetary awards, gold stickers for their books, and significant professional recognition, including publicity at industry events such as the Bologna Children's Book Fair.
