Description
Organized by the Getty Foundation since 1984, Graduate Internships prepare graduate students for careers in the visual arts through departmental training and work experience. Placements span the Getty Museum, Getty Conservation Institute, Getty Research Institute, and Getty Foundation, as well as Getty Publications, Getty Digital, Communications, and Development.
Interns work in areas including curatorial practice, conservation, research, education, publications, web and new media, public programs, digital projects, and grantmaking. The 2027–2028 opportunities range from conservation science and built heritage to museum communications, digital preservation, collections management, and public programming. Internships are based at the Getty Center in Los Angeles or the Getty Villa in Malibu, with research-travel support complementing the departmental experience.
