Description
Graduate Merit is a scholarship administered by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation (AKA EAF), the philanthropic arm of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. It supports full-time graduate students earning degrees at accredited institutions and recognizes academic achievement alongside community service and involvement. The award forms part of the foundation’s mission to support lifelong learning through scholarships, fellowships, and community grants.
The scholarship provides one-time educational support rather than funding for a specified research topic or individual project. Applicants must demonstrate academic merit through a minimum 3.0 GPA and document their project, research, or scholarly pursuit as part of the graduate application. International students are included, and eligibility is not limited to sorority members or their dependents.
