Description
The Society of Economic Geologists Graduate Student Fellowship Program supports students beginning graduate study in economic geology. The SEG Foundation (SEGF) and SEG Canada Foundation (SEGCF) award one-year fellowships for Professional Master's, M.Sc., and Ph.D. programs. Relevant fields include mineral and ore deposits, geochemistry, and geophysics with applications to minerals exploration and mine geology.
The fellowship provides personal financial support during graduate education, including tuition, living costs, study equipment, and training that benefits the student's studies or research. Applicants describe their economic geology interests, research experience or proposed work, career goals, and background. Faculty appraisals address both the applicant's qualifications and the significance of the proposed research. Preference is given to active SEG Student Members.
