Description
The Graduate Student Research Awards, administered by the Society for Health Psychology (APA Division 38), are designed to recognize and support outstanding research by graduate students in the field of health psychology. Each year, six awards of $2,000 are granted: four for general health psychology research, one for research addressing health disparities, and one to support a scientist from an underrepresented group. The awards encourage scholarly work on a broad range of topics, such as the causes and maintenance of health, treatment and rehabilitation of illness, and the psychological/social factors influencing health outcomes. The program specifically aims to foster diversity and equity in health psychology research.
