Description
The Grand County Housing Assistance Fund is a collaborative housing assistance program housed at the Grand Foundation. It was developed in response to community needs for economic sustainability and housing challenges facing Grand County residents. Its goal is to help full-time residents successfully live and work in the county, supporting broader efforts to address housing shortages, diversify employment and economic revenue sources, and improve community infrastructure.
The fund supports individuals with rent, move-in expenses such as first or last month’s rent, down payments for home purchases, and mortgage assistance limited to property tax hardship. An advisory committee prioritizes applicants based on economic need. Assistance is paid directly to housing providers rather than to applicants.
