Summary: Supports innovative research to advance understanding and treatment of Prader-Willi and Schaaf-Yang syndromes, with emphasis on projects leading to new interventions.
The Foundation for Prader-Willi Research (FPWR) Grant Program funds research aimed at accelerating the understanding and development of treatments for Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) and Schaaf-Yang syndrome (SYS). The program welcomes proposals from diverse research entities worldwide and prioritizes innovative, high-risk/high-reward projects, especially those in early stages that could lead to new interventions or therapies. Research areas of particular interest include genetics, neurobiology, clinical care, cognition, mental health, and therapeutic development related to PWS and SYS. Applications are reviewed by both scientific and advocate reviewers to ensure scientific merit and community relevance.
