Description
The Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB) offers research and meeting support through its grants and scholarships portfolio. Grants-in-Aid of Research (GIAR) provides supplemental support for graduate research in integrative and comparative biology. The Fellowship of Graduate Student Travel (FGST) supports travel to distant laboratories, museums, and field sites for fieldwork, specialized techniques, or access to unique equipment and collections.
The Libbie H. Hyman Memorial Scholarship supports invertebrate coursework or research at field stations, emphasizing a first meaningful field-station experience. Annual meeting support includes the Charlotte Mangum Student Support Program for student housing or registration and Broadening Participation Professional Development Travel Awards for students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty. The latter aims to increase representation and inclusive involvement in SICB and integrative biology.
