Description
The Community Foundation of St. Clair County offers a broad grant program supporting nonprofit project work in St. Clair County, Michigan. The program serves charitable needs and seeks to improve quality of life, rather than focusing on a single discipline or project theme. Almost any nonprofit organization in the county may apply, including organizations making their first request.
The Foundation’s Program Team routes a single application to the main Grants Committee or specialized committees according to geographic and thematic fit. Review emphasizes charitable purpose, organizational management and financial stability, realistic project budgets, and the likelihood of successful community impact. New start-up charitable organizations may occasionally receive support when they present a compelling case aligned with the Foundation’s mission, goals, and values. Alignment with strategic priorities is not required for funding.
