Description
Mass Cultural Council’s Grants for Creative Individuals supports artists, culture bearers, and creative practitioners through unrestricted individual grants. The program seeks to equitably advance creativity throughout Massachusetts, recognizing people who demonstrate achievement of creative expression and commitment to their artistic or cultural practice. It supports individuals rather than requiring a particular project or prescribed use of funds.
Eligible practices span community-based arts, crafts, dance, design, digital media, film/video, folk and traditional arts, Native/Indigenous arts, literature, music, performance, photography, theater, and visual arts. Selection combines review by Massachusetts creative-sector members with geographic distribution and funding priorities intended to broaden and diversify who benefits from the Council’s support.
