Description
This program provides financial assistance to municipalities in New York State for the closure of inactive solid waste landfills or landfills scheduled to become inactive within 18 months of application. The grant reimburses eligible closure costs to help local governments manage landfill closures in an environmentally responsible manner, protecting public health and the environment. Eligible costs must have been incurred after April 1, 1993.
