Description
The Fund for Lake Michigan supports efforts to improve the health of Lake Michigan and waterways in its Wisconsin basin. Its grants target the shoreline, near-shore areas, and watersheds within the basin, with priority for Southeastern Wisconsin. Supported work includes habitat restoration, green infrastructure, stormwater management, and related research and monitoring, as well as projects involving rivers, lakes, streams, wetlands, and beaches.
The Fund accepts pre-proposals throughout the year and makes grant decisions at quarterly board meetings. Applicants may submit more than one pre-proposal during the year and may have multiple active projects with the Fund at once.
