Description
Humanities Iowa mini grants support public humanities programming that brings together Iowa communities, non-profit organizations, and humanities scholars. The goal is to highlight and share impactful stories that have shaped Iowa and the nation, focusing on public engagement through events such as symposia, storytelling, cultural discussions, exhibitions, and rural archive preservation. Projects are especially encouraged if they amplify new voices, reach underserved rural areas, or explore unique aspects of Iowa’s heritage. All projects must involve a humanities scholar and foster critical thinking and dialogue among participants.
