Description
The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) administers state and federal education grants through its school-system finance resources. Its grants directory brings together Federal Grants, the constitutionally dedicated Education Excellence Fund (EEF), and a competitive request for proposals for 21st Century Community Learning Centers. The department manages grants through the web-based E-Grants Management System (eGMS), which also provides public access to allocation and expenditure data.
Federal funding resources include programs under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), literacy subgrants, school improvement, charter schools, disaster assistance, and mathematics and science partnerships. LDOE’s FY24 ESEA Tydings waiver request focuses on continuing learning-loss recovery through evidence-based instruction and targeted educator professional development, including literacy, STEM, and college and career readiness activities.
