The Green Discovery Chemistry Award, administered by the ACS Green Chemistry Institute Pharmaceutical Roundtable, honors industrial chemists or teams who have developed innovative, sustainable technologies with significant impact in discovery or medicinal chemistry, especially in the creation of biologically active molecules. The award spotlights advancements that deliver environmental, safety, or efficiency improvements through green chemistry and engineering. Focus areas include sustainable product isolation, advances in automated/parallel synthesis, non-conventional green synthetic strategies, novel SAR approaches for ADME optimization, and innovative molecular design for lead identification and biodegradability. Winners are invited to present their work at the Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference and receive formal recognition.
