Greenacres Foundation’s Regenerative Agriculture research grants support systems-level studies that deepen understanding of agricultural practices identified as regenerative. The program seeks work that fills knowledge gaps and contributes to positive outcomes for soil, land, water, climate, livestock, and farmer and rancher welfare. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Greenacres was established in 1988 to preserve land for the education and enjoyment of future generations.
Research interests include linking ecosystem services to food nutrient density, reducing inputs through integrated crop-livestock systems, and controlling perennial weeds without herbicides or major soil disturbance. Grants are intended to produce peer-reviewed scientific publications and share useful knowledge with landowners, farmers, and ranchers. Translational projects involving both researchers and practitioners receive priority.
