Description
The Greenspace Equity Program, administered by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR), provides competitive grants to eligible entities for projects that preserve, create, or enhance public greenspaces in overburdened and underserved communities across Maryland. The program aims to address disparities in greenspace access, improve public health, and promote vibrant, healthy neighborhoods by funding land acquisition and stewardship (development) projects such as community gardens, parks, trails, urban farms, and green networks. Projects must be publicly accessible and demonstrate meaningful community engagement and support.
