Description
The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin’s Office of Energy Innovation (OEI) established the Grid Resilience Program with Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act funding. It supports modernization and hardening of Wisconsin’s electric grid to reduce the likelihood, consequences, and impacts of extreme weather, wildfire, and natural disasters.
The program also aims to reduce the frequency and duration of service disruptions in disadvantaged communities and increase Wisconsin’s skilled workforce for resilience-related activities. The Commission determines which federally eligible applicant types it will consider in each grant round.
