Description
This award supports visual artists based in Charleston County, South Carolina, in the creation of new artwork that captures the lifestyle, culture, or environment of the Lowcountry region. The grant is designed to provide financial assistance, covering living expenses during the creative process, and aims to enable artists to focus more fully on their work. The completed piece remains the personal property of the artist, who may keep, exhibit, or sell it as they choose. The award is intended to encourage innovative artistic approaches and is open to both emerging and under-recognized artists.
