    Description

GroundWork is an EU-funded Horizon Europe project supporting regenerative livestock grazing through five Living Labs in Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, and Serbia. Managed by FundingBox Accelerator and organised by the GroundWork Consortium, this open call will select up to 33 additional farming projects for a three-year Regenerative Grazing Programme. Funding reduces the economic risks of dedicating agricultural land to experimentation.

Participating farmers co-design grazing practices suited to regional conditions, supported by mentors, business consultation, and peer learning. Experiments combine adaptive livestock management with soil health assessment, sensor monitoring, animal welfare assessment, environmental life cycle assessment, and social impact assessment. The programme aims to improve soil ecosystem functions, strengthen ecosystem resilience, and advance regenerative food production.
