Description
This program, administered by the New York State Department of Labor’s Office of Just Energy Transition, supports organizations in developing or expanding training and pre-apprenticeship programs focused on electric vehicle (EV) and EV fleet repair and maintenance, as well as EV charging station repair and maintenance. The goal is to prepare a skilled, diverse workforce for New York’s clean energy transition, emphasizing equitable access for Disadvantaged Communities (DACs) and other priority populations. Funding can also support essential wraparound services (such as transportation, childcare, housing, and life-skills support) that help participants succeed and persist in their training.
