Description
The Growing Home Fellowship, offered by the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, is designed to invest in and empower emerging community builders dedicated to the future of Appalachian Ohio. Launched in 2023, the fellowship provides financial resources and a comprehensive leadership development program to over 100 young leaders across 29 counties. Fellows participate as educators, service providers, and partners in behavioral and educational programming, receiving one-on-one coaching, skill-building, and service opportunities.
The program aims to address the outmigration of young people by fostering a strong sense of belonging and equipping fellows to identify local needs, develop innovative solutions, and build networks of support. Each fellow commits to a five-year period of living, working, and volunteering in the region, contributing to the vitality and resilience of Appalachian Ohio communities.
